BRIDE’S ADVICE: FOOD

While the Allerton Estate in Monticello has beauty in droves- quick access to snacks or finding food safe for those with dietary restrictions can be difficult. The estate does have the Greenhouse Cafe, but hours vary from season to season. The bride advises packing snacks or easy meals that don’t require a microwave or refrigeration outside of adventures into the small businesses within local Monticello.

GROOM’S ADVICE: ACTIVITIES

The venue sits on 1,400 acres with over 14 miles of public trails dotted with artwork, and world renowned formal gardens. We highly recommend bringing walking shoes or hiking boots and enjoy exploring throughout the weekend!

  • Unfortunately due to limited space, we are only able to accomidate those listed on your formal invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

  • Unfortunately no, we love your little ones, but capacity constraints and the historic nature of our venue limit our guest list to an adults-only celebration.

  • The dress code is formal attire. We ask for you to dress in suits, dresses knee-length or longer, or pantsuits. This main event will not permit jeans or t-shirts.

    This is akin to a step above your “Sunday Best” - we are happy to be an excuse for you to get dressed up fancy with us!

    COLORS

    We kindly ask you to dress in jewel tones or dark jeweled tones. Also, colors resembling the bride- such as white, ivory, cream, or pastels of any shade are not permitted.
